It's the biggest television event of the year, and it's just a week away.

The New York Giants will face the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLVI. This is usually a game many people bet on. New England is favored to win by three points. The over/under for the game is 55 points.

The Super Bowl will take place on Feb. 5 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. NBC will broadcast the game that kicks off at 6:25 p.m. EST, but there will be several hours of pregame coverage.

The NFL announced that the Super Bowl will be streamed online and to phones, and it will be available on the league's and network's Web sites and through Verizon's NFL Mobile app.

Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth are the game's broadcasters, while Bob Costas will be a part of the pregame coverage. Former American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson will sing the national anthem, while Madonna will be the featured performer in the halftime show.

Commercials are always a big reason to watch the game. A 30-second spot will cost roughly $3.5 million.

The Patriots are led by quarterback Tom Brady, while the Giants are led by quarterback Eli Manning. Manning is the younger brother of future Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning, who is currently on the Indianapolis Colts' roster.

In the Super Bowl last year, the Green Bay Packers defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers, 31-25. Aaron Rodgers was the Most Valuable Player.
