Melissa Benoist and Chris Wood were recently spotted filming a couple of scenes together at CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) Vancouver for an upcoming episode of “Supergirl.”

In a set of photos taken by a fan, it looks like Benoist and Wood’s characters, Kara and Mon-El, are again having an argument. Kara appears to be mad at Mon-El, who is noticeably wearing a D.E.O. uniform.

According to YVRShoots, Benoist was overheard singing “Dawson’s Creek’s” theme song, “I Don’t Want to Wait.” For some reasons, the 28-year-old actress was also spotted chasing a seagull around and was seen laughing about it with Wood afterwards.

It’s unclear why Kara seems to be upset with Mon-El again, but the pair’s apparent argument in the set photos may have something to do with the budding romance between them.

The synopsis for Season 2, episode 8, titled “Medusa,” confirmed speculations that Mon-El is going to be Kara’s new love interest. According to the episode summary, Eliza (Helen Slater) comes to town to celebrate Thanksgiving with her daughters Kara and Alex (Chyler Leigh). During her visit, the Danvers matriarch suggests that Mon-El has feelings for Kara, much to the Kryptonian’s surprise.

In an interview with TVLine earlier this month, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg said that Kara and Mon-El’s relationship “could” turn romantic later in the season.

“I mean, she’s not dating anyone right now,” Kreisberg said of the Girl of Steel. “There’s definitely a little bit of Sam and Diane from ‘Cheers’ in their relationship, her being the more mature, put-together one, and him being a lovable cad. Whether or not they’re going to get there is part of the fun of watching this season.”

An all-new episode of “Supergirl” airs on Monday, Nov. 21, at 8 p.m. EST on The CW. Check out the synopsis for Season 2, episode 7, titled “The Darkest Place,” below:

“While Guardian (Mehcad Brooks) tries to clear his name after being accused of a murder committed by another vigilante, Supergirl heads out on a solo mission to rescue Mon-El who has been captured by CADMUS. While fighting to free Mon-El, Supergirl comes face to face with Cyborg Superman.”
