Tyler Hoechlin has nothing but good words for his “Supergirl” co-star Melissa Benoist.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Hoechlin — who plays Superman/Clark Kent on “Supergirl” — gushed about Benoist when asked what it’s been like working with the 28-year-old actress on the set of the CW series.

“It’s been incredible,” the 29-year-old actor said of his experience working with Benoist, who portrays Supergirl/Kara Danvers on the show. “She’s so talented. She’s just the sweetest person.”

Hoechlin, who has known Benoist for a couple of years now through her husband Blake Jenner, added that Benoist is so endearing with her role that he once found himself mesmerized by the actress’ persona while filming.

“It’s funny, I remember the first day, we were doing a scene, it was Clark and Kara, and even in the rehearsals, and almost through the first take, I found myself watching just how endearing she was with the character that it almost made me laugh,” Hoechlin recalled. “I had to realize that I’m working now, we’re rolling, I have to hone in on what my character would be responding to!”

“She’s such a great actor, so it’s been an absolute blast to work with her,” Hoechlin said of the “Glee” alum.

Hoechlin wasn’t lying when he said that he had an “absolute blast” working with Benoist. In a couple of photos taken while the they were filming some scenes around Vancouver’s Green Harbour last August, Hoechlin and Benoist were seen enjoying each other’s company in between takes.

Hoechlin even shared one of those photos on his Instagram with a sarcastic caption that read, “We’re not having any fun at all up here.”
