The CW has dropped a brand new trailer for “Supergirl” Season 2, and while the preview clip is packed with several light moments, two of the funniest scenes in the video are probably Winn Schott’s (Jeremy Jordan) first face-to-face encounter with Superman (Tyler Hoechlin) and Cat Grant’s (Calista Flockhart) first meeting with Superman’s alter ego Clark Kent.

In the trailer, Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) brings Superman to the D.E.O. and introduces him to everyone in the team. Winn, who has been a longtime fan of Superman, was starstruck upon meeting the Man of Steel for the first time. The CatCo-turned-D.E.O. employee is obviously excited to get to know Kara’s cousin, but as he’s at a loss for words, the very first question he asks him is, “How do you shave?”

During a roundtable interview at the San Diego Comic-Con last July, Jordan talked about Winn’s fun dynamic with Superman.

“He’s like the ultimate Superman fangirl,” Jordan said of his character (via Showbiz Junkies). “And the fact that he gets to meet him, talk to him and may be help him out a little bit is like a dream come true for him.”

In fact, “if there was one man that Winn would turn for, it’s Superman. That’s how much he loves Superman,” Jordan added (via The Geekiary).

While Superman’s appearance at the D.E.O leaves Winn surprised, Clark’s visit at CatCo rattles Cat, suggesting that the media mogul might have a little crush on the Daily Planet reporter.

“You didn’t tell me that you know Clark Kent,” an agitated Cat tells Kara as Clark approaches her office. “Do I have anything in my teeth?”

As previously reported, Flockhart is reprising her role as Cat in a reduced capacity for Season 2. The 51-year-old actress was a series regular in Season 1, but after the production of the show moved from Los Angeles to Vancouver, she and Warner Bros. TV reached an agreement that she will return for Season 2 only as a recurring guest star.

“We’re trying to get her for at least six episodes this year, and she’s in the first two episodes,” executive producer Greg Berlanti told IndieWire earlier this month. “We’re just trying to see when she can come back now.”

“Supergirl” Season 2 premieres on Monday, Oct. 10 at 8 p.m. on The CW.
