Bay and Travis are finally in a good place on “Switched at Birth” since returning from China, but could there be trouble in paradise already? In Season 5, episode 3, “Surprise,” Bay will have to deal with her past actions while others began to realize that ignorance isn’t always bliss and secrets are not meant to be kept.

“Toby (Lucas Grabeel) and Lily (Rachel Shenton) return from London with immediate plans to get married in the Kennish’s (Lucas Grabeel) backyard, but a fight before the ceremony threatens their impending union,” the Freeform synopsis teases.

In the promo for “Switched at Birth” episode 3, Toby can be seen telling Lily that he is overjoyed about marrying her, but the new mom seems pretty upset as if he has done something wrong.

Last viewers saw of Lily and Toby, the two went off to live with her parents in London after she gave birth to their son. However, taking their relationship to the next level looks like it may be an issue for the young parents.

“Meanwhile, Regina (Constance Marie) debates whether to reveal her relationship with Luca (Michael Galante) to her family,” the synopsis says. In a sneak peek for the Freeform series, Luca and Regina have a conversation about telling her family about their relationship however, she wants the brood to get to know him a little better before she officially tells them about the romance.

Elsewhere, “Bay (Vanessa Marano) runs into Tank (Max Adler),” the synopsis states. Tank is Bay’s ex-boyfriend who she accused of sexually assaulting her while she was drunk at a party which resulted in his expulsion from UMKC.

In the promo, Bay can be seen trying to make amends with Mary Beth (B.K. Cannon) after breaking “girl code” and dating Travis, her ex-boyfriend. Could Mary Beth want revenge and turn to Tank feeling betrayed by Bay?
