Looking to capitalize off the growing recognition of Samsung's Galaxy brand, T-Mobile has added the Galaxy S 4G to its smartphone arsenal.

T-Mobile says it will be the fastest smartphone running on what they call, America's Largest 4G Network. The phone will be powered by Android 2.2 (Froyo) operating system and come with Samsung's standard Super AMOLED touch screen display.

With Galaxy S 4G, T-Mobile will deliver its fastest smartphone yet on America's largest 4G network, providing rich entertainment virtually whenever and wherever consumers want, Cole Brodman, chief marketing officer, T-Mobile USA, said in a statement. And with 4G data plans from $10 per month, we're making blazing-fast 4G speeds and super smartphone experiences easily accessible to the millions who crave them.

Information beyond that wasn't made available, T-Mobile says more will be coming out within the next few weeks about the phone. Already, every major carrier, including T-Mobile, offers some variant of the Samsung Galaxy S phone series.
