Looking for an inexpensive Windows Phone handset? Walmart is now offering the Microsoft Lumia 435 at a very discounted price-- though it is a prepaid T-Mobile variant.

According to Walmart, the entry-level T-Mobile Microsoft Lumia 435 can be purchased at a discounted price of only $49.88. The original price is $95, notes Phone Arena. The best part is buyers need not sign up for a contract with T-Mobile to get the deal.

The Lumia 435 specifications include a pocket-friendly 4.0-inch LCD display, rendering at 480 x 800 pixels resolution. This combination translates to a modest pixel density of 233 ppi.

Speaking of the housed hardware components, the Lumia 435 is powered by a dual-core (Qualcomm Snapdragon 200) Cortex-A7 SoC, running at 1.2 GHz and backed by 1 GB of RAM. Plus, the graphics side of the handset is handled by Adreno 302 GPU. Also, the device comes equipped with 8 GB of internal storage capacity and microSD card support for expansion up to a whopping 128 GB.

On the software front, the device runs on Windows Phone 8.1 OS along with Lumia Denim firmware update, straight out of the box. To top it off, this Lumia handset supports the virtual personal assistant Cortana. As far as the camera configuration goes, the Lumia 435 features a 2 MP rear-facing sensor and a VGA shooter or 0.3 MP front-facing unit at the front for selfies.

Apart from the standard connectivity options, Walmart says, this smartphone is 4G capable and it supports HSPA+ network. As this is a T-Mobile variant, users can enjoy the widely used Wi-Fi calling feature. And the handset comes in four colors: White, Black, Green and Orange.

Lastly, the Lumia 435 houses a modest 1,560 mAh battery unit, offering up to 11 hours of talk time, in addition to 504 hours of stand-by time. Check out the deal here at Walmart.
