Forget the screaming Twi-hards, even Mark Wahlberg thinks "Twilight" star Taylor Lautner is hot.

That's what Wahlberg said at Thursday's Hollywood Foreign Press Association Press (HFPA) luncheon.

"I'm sitting at a table with a gentleman who is better looking than you and is in better shape than me . . . So, we're both out of a job, dude. Taylor Lautner! We're screwed," Wahlberg said to Leonardo DiCaprio, as the room erupted in laughter.

"It's over dude . . . 'Titanic' and 'Boogie Nights' were a long time ago. I accept it. I had a good run and on to the next," said Wahlberg.

The luncheon, held at the Beverly Hills Hotel, included guests like "Glee" star Lea Michelle, Gerard Butler, Kevin Bacon and HFPA president Aida Takla O'Reilly.

"It's such an honor. I'm up on the stage and talking in front of people like that? The people that I looked up to my entire life? Hearing words like that from Mark and everybody it's just really surreal," Lautner told E!

In the "Twilight" film series, the 19-year-old Lautner plays Jacob Black, who morphs into a wolf and vies for the heart of Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart), who is in love with the vampire Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson).

Prior to "Twilight," Lautner appeared in small roles in films like "The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl in 3-D," "What's New, Scooby-Doo?" and in TV series like "My Wife and Kids."

"The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1" will be released on Nov. 18, followed by "Part 2" almost one year later, on Nov. 16, 2012.
