TEPCO to get final consent to restart 2nd nuke unit
Japan's Tokyo Electric Power Co (TEPCO) (9501.T) will receive final local approval to restart a second reactor at its quake-damaged nuclear plant in northwest Japan from 0630 GMT on Tuesday, a local prefectural official said.
The heads of three local governments approved the move after a panel of experts on Monday submitted a report to the local prefecture that anti-quake safety has been secured at the 1,356-megawatt No.6 reactor at the Kashiwazaki-Kariwa plant, the official said. (Reporting by Osamu Tsukimori)
