Tired from all that turkey and gravy? The sports world has you covered. Here's where and when to watch NFL, NHL, College Football, and College Basketball games on Thanksgiving. Wikipedia Commons

Nothing covers up the shame of Thanksgiving gluttony quite like a day of professional sports on the television. Every year, on the fourth Thursday in November, Americans stuff in a few pounds of turkey, inhale a few gallons of gravy, and stumble over to their living room couches for several uninterrupted hours of NFL action.

The Detroit Lions and Dallas Cowboys will each continue their tradition of playing on Thanksgiving. The Lions will play host to the Green Bay Packers in a game that will decide who owns the top spot in the NFC North, while the Cowboys will face off against the lowly Oakland Raiders in the hopes of preserving their spot atop the NFC East.

After Thanksgiving dinner, the primetime stage belongs to the Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens. The AFC North rivals are both 5-6 this season, and are each looking to carve out a spot in the NFL playoffs.

Football may be the holiday’s most popular sport, but Thanksgiving 2013 will also feature games from the NHL, college football, and college basketball.
