The company announced on Tuesday that its financial guarantee insurance subsidiary, Radian Asset Assurance Inc., entered into a three-part transaction with subsidiaries of Assured Guaranty Ltd. that includes the commutation of a $12.9 billion portfolio reinsured by Radian Asset, the ceding of $1.8 billion of public finance business and an agreement to sell Municipal and Infrastructure Assurance Corporation (MIAC) for $91 million, subject to regulatory approval.

Peabody Energy Corp. (NYSE:BTU) shares surged 5.14 percent to $36.86 in aftermarket trading sessions. The company reported fourth quarter net income of $224.1 million or $0.82 per share compared to $210.0 million or $0.77 per share in the same quarter last year.
