Just days after his younger sister Miley announced her engagement to Liam Hemsworth, Trace Cyrus and Brenda Song have called it quits, while pregnancy rumors circulate about the former Disney star.

Brenda and I have decided to go our separate ways, Cyrus, 23, said in a statement. We split up a couple of months ago. We will continue to focus on our careers. I wish Brenda the best and much success in the future. I hope everyone can respect our privacy about this situation. Thanks so much.

While it is unclear when they began dating, reports from October, when Cyrus announced their engagement, stated they had been dating for nearly a year after making public appearances together. Song, 24, also posed as a model for Cyrus' line, Southern Made Hollywood Paid.

Shortly before the engagement announcement, rumors circulated in August that Song was pregnant with Cyrus' child, fueled by a report from E! News. The former couple never confirmed the reports, but Song's mother, Mai, denied it to Star magazine in September.

She's not actually pregnant, Song told Star. It's very upsetting to our family because of what I'm going through and it's not how we raised her.

Now, amid her breakup, Song took to Twitter to dispel pregnancy rumors.

No way! I never was! Song responded to Twitter user AshleyHoran_143 on Saturday, who asked, Are you pregnant?!?!?!?!

Brenda Song is best known for her roles in various Disney programs, like The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, and for her role as Christy in The Social Network. Trace Cyrus was the lead singer of the band Metro Station, but now performs as a solo artist under the name Ashland High.
