Tropical Storm Don has triggered a storm warning along the Texas coast on Thursday evening, with the storm expected to hit within 36 hours.

A tropical storm watch means that tropical storm conditions are possible within the watch area, according to the National Hurricane Center.

A trajectory map provided by NWS shows the storm several hundred miles southeast.

As of 7 p.m. on Thursday the storm was 410 miles East-South-East (655 Km) of Corpus Christi, Texas.

It was about 365 miles ESE of Brownsville, Texas.

The warning is in effect from Port Mansfield to the mouth of the Rio Grande.

The storm will move in closer on Friday afternoon and is set to make landfall late Friday.

On Saturday the storm's center will make its way along the southern part of the state, reaching Western Texas on Sunday afternoon.
