"Clueless" star Stacey Dash has received quite a bit of backlash after publicly supporting presidential candidate Mitt Romney on Twitter.

Wearing a red bathing suit and red lipstick, the beautiful actress stood in front of the American flag with a prop that read "Dash America" and had a large "R" on it.

“Vote for Romney. The only choice for your future,” the photo caption read.

People on Twitter immediately responded, most negatively. User @Mylee_Evelyn wrote “I am no longer a Stacey Dash fan lol.”

@Big_Pak wrote, “All beauty, no brains.”

A journalist from Houston encouraged Dash to stay strong amidst the backlash. “Wow. Black actress @REALStaceyDash endorses Mitt & gets the usual slurs from the left. Stand strong girl!” @KatMcKinley said.

Dash is not the only celebrity who recently sparked controversy based on who they are supporting in the upcoming presidential election.

Rapper Snoop Dogg also has received a lot of criticism after reposting a list on his Instagram account of why he is voting for President Barack Obama and not for Mitt Romney. Reasons included, “He [Romney] always interrupts and talks over people like he’s better than them,” and “He reminds me of every boss I ever hated.”

Obama has numerous other supporters on his side, aside from Snoop Dogg. And though Dash does not seem to be voting for him, many other celebrities have come forward to show their support for his re-election.

Beyonce and Jay-Z held a fundraiser and raised $4 million dollars for his campaign, and actresses such as Eva Longoria have also helped Obama in his campaign by promoting various fundraising events on his behalf.
