Twitter users will soon be able to receive direct messages without having to follow the sender.

Twitter has changed its messaging policy by not limiting it to the people who are being followed by the people, they are following.

Last year Mashable reported that Twitter started with the beta version of ‘Twitter Business Center,’ to experiment the direct messaging with a few account.

Most users are starting to have access to the service, with Tata DOCOMO notifying users of the option.

If the users want to disable the feature, Twitter provides that option as well to avoid flooding of personal messages in the account.

The direct messaging feature is useful for Twitter users who have a large band of followers with a private system with which they can receive a personal message without having to go through the long process of following the user, asking them to direct message them, and then unfollow the user after it has been sent.
