Tyga was ordered by a judge Wednesday to pay over $70,000 in back rent to the owner of the house in a gated community in Calabasas, California. The decision comes after the owner sued the rapper for not paying rent. Tyga had also filed a counter lawsuit against the owner, claiming that he had signed an agreement to buy the property and had already made 200,000 down payment for the house, which is just a few minutes from his girlfriend Kylie Jenner’s place.

Tyga did not appear at the court for the Monday hearing, where it was decided by a judge that until his claim is settled, he will have to pay the $70,000 and move out, TMZ reported. According to Tyga, the landlord reportedly told the rapper he could move in during escrow without the $25,000 monthly rent. Tyga also said that the escrow was due to close months ago, but the owner did not provide all the necessary information needed to allow the loan to be processed, causing a lengthy delay, the Daily Mail reported.

Tyga was sued by his landlord in June for not paying rent twice. The “Rack City” rapper lived in the house with his former girlfriend Blac Chyna, who was also named as a defendant in the case.

The latest case follows another court order where the rapper was told to pay $80,000 in rent in May for a $6.5 million, seven-bedroom mansion in Calabasas. The rapper originally owed $124,000 but cut a deal with the owner.

Jenner bought a house earlier this year for $2.7 million in The Oaks, a gated community in Calabasas. The house has five bedrooms, a pool, a home theater, and spreads across 4,900 square feet. Jenner’s house is also just a block away from that of her Kardashian sisters, Kourtney and Khloe.
