UBS has appointed Giacomo Petrobelli and Boris Okuliar as co-heads of Europe, Middle East and Africa leveraged capital markets, sources familiar with the matter said on Tuesday.

Petrobelli and Okuliar will both report to global head of leveraged capital markets Brendan Connolly, the sources said.

Petrobelli has held roles in leveraged finance, origination, capital markets and sales at UBS since 1998, while Okuliar joined from Barclays Capital where he held a role in high yield markets.

A spokesman for UBS declined to comment.
