KIEV (Commodity Online): Ukraine is reported to be planning to decrease the general production of maize compared to the planned volumes, mainly on account of the anomalous heat dominating throughout the territory of the country in the summer.

The Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy of the Ukraine government informed on Friday that the production of maize will fall in the country.

The preliminary estimates hint at a harvest shortage of about 13-15% over last year for maize production.
