United Airline announced on Tuesday its plans to start daily nonstop flights from San Francisco to Guangzhou, China.

It will become the first U.S. carrier to offer daily nonstop services to Guangzhou.

The flight (UA865) will be scheduled to depart 12:35 p.m and arriving 6p.m the following day and flight (UA868) from Guangzhou will depart at 11 a.m and arrive San Francisco at 9 a.m.

It is hoped that this will help to timely deliver many commodities from Guangzhou, like electronic components, integrated circuits, printers, machinery and machine tools and apparel as well as perishables, pharmaceuticals and temperature-controlled products.

United's successful bid for this route authority would not have been possible without the broad base of support from officials, customers and our employees who understand the economic importance of this route, said Glen Tilton, United Airlines' chief executive.
