It is no secret that the Atlanta Hawks would like to keep their place plastered in their win column for the time being as they collide with the humming Utah Jazz on Friday, February 3 at the Vivint Arena.

Utah is fresh from a 131-128 win over the Toronto Raptors—their second-straight win following a 108-100 conquest of the Dallas Mavericks.

In that triumph over the Raptors, the Jazz were led by Lauri Markkanen, who finished with a game-high 28 points along with 13 rebounds.

Backing him up was Jordan Clarkson, who hauled 23 points and five assists.

"Taking my time, having a little more patience, not just going right away and being a little bit stronger with the ball," Markkanen stated after the game.

The Jazz are fourth in the league in team scoring with 117.8 points per contest. They are also fourth in the league on offense with a rating of 116.8.

Utah needs better defense, allowing opponents to score 116.5 points per game.

On the other side, the Hawks will try to ride on the momentum of their 132-100 rout of the Phoenix Suns to foil the Jazz.

In that game, Dejounte Murray held up the fort with 21 points, eight rebounds, and six assists. Trae Young chipped in 20 markers of his own alongside 12 dimes.

"We wanted to win really bad and knew it had to start on the defensive end," Murray said. "The defense took care of the offense."

The Hawks are ninth in the league in terms of team scoring with an average of 116.5 points per match, as well as owning an offensive rating of 113.8.

On the defensive side, Atlanta is allowing opponents 116.5 points per outing, 22nd in the league.

The Jazz are picked as -1.5 favorites to come out on top of the Hawks, who are at +1.5.

Furthermore, the moneyline for this game is -125 for Utah and +105 for Atlanta.

The game will be shown over the NBA League Pass and via fuboTV at 9:00 PM ET.
