On Monday night, AJ McCarron played the biggest game of his life.

The Alabama quarterback threw for 264 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions in the BCS National Championship Game. While the junior led his team to a 42-14 victory over Notre Dame to win the title, it was McCarron’s girlfriend that received much of the attention during the game.

Katherine Webb, McCarron’s girlfriend and Miss Alabama 2012, caught the attention of millions watching Monday’s title game. The television cameras caught a glimpse of her early on in the broadcast, and she immediately became a topic of discussion on social media sites like Twitter and Facebook.

When Webb was first shown on the broadcast sitting next to McCaron’s mother, play-by-play announcer Brent Musburger couldn’t help but comment on the model.

“I’m tellin ya, you quarterbacks, you get all the good looking women,” Musburger said. “What a beautiful woman. Woah!”

“If you’re a youngster at Alabama, start getting the football out and throwing it around the backyard with Pop,” Musburger continued.

Color commentator Kirk Herbstreit was also impressed by the young beauty.

“Wow! AJ’s doing some things right down in Tuscaloosa.”

Webb actually graduated from Auburn, Alabama’s biggest rival. She has worked as a model, but probably never received more recognition than when she was shown during the game. She told Yahoo Sports that her Twitter followers went from 2,300 to 96,000 in one day.
