Arsenal made some key moves on defense in the summer transfer period, but apparently there are still some question marks for the Gunners, after a 4-3 loss to Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park on Saturday.

Own goals by Alex Song and Laurent Koscielny, as well as two poachers goals by Rovers' new striker Yakubu gave the home side the victory.

Arsenal went into halftime leading 2-1, after goals by Gervinho and Mikel Arteta. Both goals were impressive efforts as the Gunners' new players who are making an impact early in the season.

It was in the second half where things broke down for Arsenal with the own goals by Song and Koscielny. Marouane Chamakh scored in the 85th minute to put Arsenal back in the game, but it wasn't enough.

It was a particularly peculiar match for Song, who was in excellent form before the own goal. Song was instrumental in setting up the first two Arsenal goals.

Statistically, Arsenal dominated Blackburn. The Gunners took 23 shots with nine on goal, while Blackburn only took eight shots, with four on goal. Arsenal took 13 corner kicks, compared to the Rovers' two, and the Gunners had possession for 69 percent of the match.

But it was Yakubu's day. The Nigerian flick goal in the 25th minute was a thing of beauty. Yakubu's poacher goal in the 59th minute appeared to be offside.

The Rovers' stunning victory finally gave them a win in the 2011-2012 season. For Arsenal, this is their third loss of the Premier League season, and share the same record with Blackburn.
