Cesc Fabregas scored twice, and Barcelona won convincingly over Levante, 5-0, on Saturday at Nou Camp.

The former Arsenal star posted both his goals in the first half, and the first came as a result of a gorgeous assist from playmaker Andres Iniesta. Barcelona would also get goals from Isaac Cuenca in the first half, as well as Lionel Messi and Alexis Sanchez in the second half.

Though Fabregas's two-goal performance was a positive performance from the midfielder, manager Pep Guardioala is probably encouraged by the effort of Cuenca, who is considered a promising B-team player.

As usual, Barcelona dominated ball possession. The Catalans controlled the ball for 73 percent of the match, while taking 19 shots, with nine on goal. Levante managed only six shots with three on goal.

The loss keeps Levante in fourth place in La Liga. It has so far been a successful season for Levante, who finished in 14th place last season.

Barcelona, who have played 15 games, are still three points behind leaders Real Madrid, who have played 14 games.

Both clubs are obviously concerned with the results of their rivals, as the La Liga title looks to be a two-club race once again.
