Bayern Munich punctuated their successful Bundesliga campaign with a 4-3 comeback victory over Borussia Monchengladbach Saturday at Borussia Park.

Down 3-1 in a wild first 10 minutes of play, Franck Ribery’s two goals and two assists led Munich’s attack and eventual victory.

Monchengladbach’s Martin Stranzl and Mike Hanke each scored in the opening five minutes and looked poised for the upset, but Bayern’s Javi Martinez responded with a goal in the seventh minute to calm things down.

Havard Nordtveit put Monchengladbach back up by two goals in the 10th minute, but Ribery closed the gap to 3-2 in the 18th and netted the equalizer in the 53rd minute.

Six minutes later Arjen Robben gave Bayern the lead for good with his fourth league goal of the season.

Ribery totaled 10 goals in Bundesliga this year. It was the Frenchman’s second consecutive year of scoring at least 10 goals, the first time he’s accomplished the feat in his career.

Bayern ended the season with a 25 point lead on the Bundesliga table, while the loss keeps Monchengladbach in check at eighth place.

Munich gained control of the game with an astounding 66-34 possession advantage, and 26 shots, with 13 on target.
