Many were anticipating a low scoring game between Brazil and Paraguay in group play of the Copa America on Saturday in Cordoba.

But due to a choppy surface, the match had plenty of miscues, and that led to a more goals than anticipated. The high-scoring match follows the scoreless draws that both team had in their opening matches.

Paraguay went into the match having shut out six of seven opponents. Brazil went into the match as perhaps the best attacking team in the tournament. The first goal of the match opened several moments to counter-attacking, making for a many back and forth situations.

Both teams had plenty of chances in this match, which turned out to be an intense game from the start. Brazil went into the match with star midfielder Elano on the bench, and Maicon continuing to not see playing time.
