The Rock returned to WWE for the first time in 10 months, making an appearance on “Monday Night Raw.” It was the first episode of “Raw” following the 2016 Royal Rumble, beginning the road to WrestleMania 32.

In one of the longest segments of the night, The Rock had backstage interactions with The Miz, Big Show, Lana and Rusev, whom the WWE legend faced off with when he last appeared on “Raw” on Oct. 6, 2014. This time, The Rock got physical with The New Day, who interrupted his in-ring promo. After The Usos came to the ring to help The Rock, the eight-time WWE Champion delivered a Rock Bottom to Big E and a People’s Elbow to Xavier Woods.

The Rock appeared on WWE TV just twice in 2015, and he’s almost sure to top that number in 2016. He’s confirmed that he’ll be a part of WrestleMania 32 on April 3, though it’s unknown in what capacity.

It’s possible that The Rock could have a match at WrestleMania 32, but that seems to be highly unlikely. There’s speculation that he’ll be in the corner of his cousin, Roman Reigns, who is expected to challenge Triple H for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in the main event of the year’s biggest pay-per-view.

The Rock made a surprise appearance at last year’s Royal Rumble when he saved Reigns from Big Show and Kane. Two months later, he appeared at WrestleMania 31 in a segment involving Triple H, Stephanie McMahon and Ronda Rousey.
