“The Voice” family still remembers and misses their late member, Christina Grimmie. On its recent episode, Adam Levine and his protégés gave a tribute song to the “Just a Dream” singer.

On the Tuesday episode of “The Voice,” Levine, Grimmie’s coach in the reality singing competition performed a poignant rendition of “Hey Jude” for Grimmie along with his team members Jesse Larson, Lilli Passero and Mark Isaiah, E! News reported.

Before the performance, Levine appeared on stage and shared a heartfelt message for Grimmie, whom he coached in “The Voice” Season 6. “God, I loved her so much. I am talking to you guys specifically, I’m talking to everybody. I miss her,” said the Maroon 5 frontman. “It is unfair she is not here. We are going to sing a little song. I am going to be singing every word to her in her honor. Thank you for being here. Christina, we love you.”

Prior to the said episode, Christina Grimmie’s Twitter teased about a big announcement on the show. “We’re LIVE at @NBCTheVoice. Don’t miss tonight’s special announcement at 8PM EST! #CGforever #TeamGrimmie.” It was later revealed that Christina Grimmie Foundation was created. It is established to help those who are victims of gun violence and breast cancer.

“Tonight, in memory of our good friend and along with Christina’s family, we’re honored to help announce the creation of the Christina Grimmie Foundation, benefiting those impacted by gun violence and families, just like her own, affected by breast cancer,” said Carson Daly. “Thank you for letting us be a part of this very important moment. And Christina, we feel your spirit here at The Voice every single day and we love and miss you dearly.”

Grimmie died of a shooting incident on June 10, 2016. The autopsy results revealed that the singer was shot in the head and chest resulting in her death, Daily Mail reported. Grimmie’s killer, Kevin Loibl died of a self-inflicted gunshot.
