Maroon 5 was one of the hottest bands in early 2000s, and they are still making waves. Just like their fans, the band’s frontman, Adam Levine, revealed that he also has a favorite Maroon 5 song.

The band debuted in 2002 with their single “Harder to Breathe.” However, it was their third offering during the same year, titled “She Will Be Loved,” that catapulted the band to fame. This is why the song is important to Levine.

The “Voice” coach revealed that while writing the song, he had a feeling that it would make a difference in their career. Levine felt that the song would be significant to a lot of people, and his hunch turned out to be true.

“We just kinda had that feeling, or I guess it was just one of those special moments where I thought, ‘Wow, we’re gonna have a career because of this song.’ I didn’t know that I would be right about it, but I felt that way about it,” Levine told Entertainment Tonight.

Behati Prinsloo’s husband further explained that the song was a reflection of a troubled relationship about a particular girl and guy he knew. “She Will Be Loved” was a result of Levine’s outsider perspective of the relationship.

Levine explained that in the relationship, the man was very nice, supportive and nurturing. Yet, she was still not in a good place.

Levine was very excited when he wrote it. It was one of the fastest songs that Maroon 5 composed. According to the singer, he just scribbled the words on paper, and then the band immediately recorded it. In fact, it was done within an hour, but it gave the band a good impression worldwide and still lives on even after a decade.

According to the Huffington Post, the lyrics of “She Will Be Loved” were soft groovy love notes that were perfect for one’s MySpace profile or on margins of high school notebooks. This is why it comes to no surprise that many readers have the same affection for the Maroon 5 song as Levine does.

Meanwhile, Maroon 5 just graced the stage of KeyBank Center on Wednesday, March 8. Fans gathered despite the alarming battering of winds downtown. The band didn’t disappoint their fans because they went home loving the band and Levine even more, Buffalo News noted.
