Wal-Mart's Sam's Club is going to open a business center focused solely to serve its small business customers, the company's executives said on Thursday.

The new unit called, Sam's Club Business Center, will be opened for the first time in Houston on July and will sell items for business owners rather than focus on individual customers needs.

Among the products to be sold are office supplies, juices, tobacco, candy, fresh food needed by restaurants and cleaning supplies among others.

The company said it is testing the new concept and is likely to open new stores if the financial results are positive.

Shares of Wal-Mart rose 3.68 percent to $59.80 in the New York Stock Exchange at the closing trading Thursday.
