Aside from the game’s official release, fans of “The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series — A New Frontier” may have also anticipated the moment when Telltale Games announces the incentives they are getting for preordering the zombie apocalypse themed game. And the San Rafael-based video game developer and publisher finally did.

Creative Communications Manager at Telltale Games Laura Perusco took to the official Telltale website this week to announce the extended first look at the game’s two-episode premiere and the preorder bonuses that fans can take advantage of. In the post, Perusco stated that fans who are patiently waiting for “The Walking Dead: Season Three” should know that it is set to debut on Dec. 20 with a special two-part premiere. This means the first two episodes in the five-part series are releasing worldwide on PC, Xbox One, PS4, iOS and Android devices on the said date.

Perusco also confirmed that fans who want the “Season Pass Disc” for Xbox One and PS4 consoles can buy a copy starting Feb. 14. The “Season Pass Disc” is going to arrive with the premiere episode for this new season. Moreover, players who will be purchasing this pass will have access to the other episodes in the series as they become available worldwide.

PS4 players who preordered the digital version of “The Walking Dead: A New Frontier,” they will be getting incentives, as per PowerUpGaming. Digitally preordering the game is going to ensure them a complimentary copy of “The Walking Dead: Season Two” as well as a copy of “The Walking Dead: Michonne” miniseries. Even fans who did not preorder the game for the PlayStation console will also get an incentive. It was revealed that Steam players are getting a 10 percent discount should they buy the new game ahead of its release.

For players who are still unsure if they are going to purchase “A New Frontier,” Telltale games teased that the upcoming installment marks a new beginning for those who are not familiar with Clementine, and it also serves as a continuation to the previous seasons. The publisher also assured everyone that newbies will enjoy the game just as much as returning players for the story is tailored to showcase a new beginning. Plus, there is the option to set the backstory or important files from other platforms. More information about these features are expected to surface in the coming weeks.
