Timer Warner Inc.'s Warner Bros., the top studio in box office sales in 2008, will cut 10 percent of its worldwide staff, due to the economic downturn and the worsening business forecasts.

In an email to employees the company said the measures were done in order to control costs and will be made during the coming weeks, Reuters reported.

The percentage represents about 800 positions, according to a spokesman of the company, the source noted.
