The Dark Knight Rises is hands-down the most widely hyped movie of the summer. Yet, for all the fanfare surrounding the film, there's a lot of mystery, too. Just what exactly are the enigmatic Bane's plans? Which side is Catwoman fighting for? And what will Batman's ultimate fate be?

It's enough to drive fans mad.

It appears director Christopher Nolan has heard his fans' pleas for More, and released a 13-minute sneak preview of the coming blockbuster. The short covers tons of behind-the-scenes details and even releases some never-before-seen clips from the film. It even answers a couple of previously unknown questions about the film's time line. The opening of the film takes place eight years after The Dark Knight, and it sees a broken Bruce Wayne attempt to figure out his life.

At the beginning of 'The Dark Knight Rises,' we find a Bruce Wayne who's very damaged by his experiences as Batman, Nolan says in the preview, which appears below.

One of the most interesting aspects of the short is its insight into the special effects in The Dark Knight Rises. Christopher Nolan is known for eschewing computer-generated graphics wherever possible, and, in this clip, fans get to see it on film.

In one scene highlighted in the preview, the Gotham police force comes face to face with Bane's army in a massive brawl, filmed on Wall Street in lower Manhattan in New York. Chris really did want to shoot everything as real as possible, so there's no visual effects enhancing the amount of people that are in that scene, according to director of photography Wally Pfister.
