World-renowned hip-hop producer Justin Smith, better known as Just Blaze, and Harry Bauer Rodrigues, also known by his stage name Baauer, released a music video -- a six-minute martial arts short film -- for their song “Higher.”

“Higher” was collaboratively produced in 2013 by Just Blaze and Baauer, with vocals provided by hip-hop mogul Jay Z. The song was commercially released on iTunes Aug. 13 through Priority Records, a formerly defunct American hip-hop music label under Universal Music Group, a subsidiary of Vivendi (EPA:VIV). The label was famous for its roster of legendary hip-hop artists including N.W.A, Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, Master P, Snoop Dogg, Mac 10, Ice-T and others.

While “Higher” was only officially released commercially on Aug. 13, fans of Just Blaze have been able to listen to the song since early 2013, when he released it on his Soundcloud page.

The music video was directed by Los Angeles director and photographer Nabil Elderkin, also known as Nabil. While you don’t see Just Blaze, Baauer or Jay Z on camera in the video, the visuals that accompany the music are just as compelling. Nabil turns the music video into an epic martial arts short film featuring students from Vishwabharath Kalari Sangam, a martial arts school in India, practicing kalaripayattu, an Indian martial art better known as kalari.

"Higher" was released on iTunes on August 13.
