A large spider made a cameo in a news reporter's live television broadcast Wednesday, according to Mashable. Shannon Murray, a reporter for KDFW in Dallas, Texas remained calm and collected as the spider crawled down her arm.

Murray was conducting a report on protests initiated by American Airlines ground workers for the Fox News affiliate station when the action occurred, reporting live from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.

The video was published to KDFW's Facebook page, which allowed viewers to alert Murray to the creepy crawler that used her arm as its personal walkway.

"SHANNON! YOU HAVE A SPIDER CRAWLING ON YOUR LEFT ARM," a viewer alerted the reporter on Facebook. Murray shared the viewer's notification to her Twitter account, claiming she had a feeling something was on her arm.

"THIS. JUST. HAPPENED," Murray tweeted Thursday. "I knew I felt something on me!!"

Several viewers commented on the video, calling Murray "professional" for keeping her composure. However, viewers primarily noted that they wouldn't have been able to remain calm in her situation, adding gifs to support their hysterics. Murray did address concerned viewers about the incident, claiming that she wasn't aware of the large spider on her arm.

"For those asking, yes I felt it," Murray wrote on KDFW's Facebook page. "But I had no idea it was a spider until a viewer let me know on Facebook. EEK!"

Murray's new outlet poked fun at her on their Facebook page, referring to her as a "spider whisperer."

"Yesterday she was the spider whisperer. Today Shannon Murray FOX 4 is swimming with the sharks! Could you do it??" KDFW wrote.

Murray noted on her Facebook fan page that the spider's cameo helped her out by increasing her following on the social media platform. She wrote, "I think the spider actually did me a favor. Thanks for following, everyone!"

The reporter's new page has acquired 5,085 likes and 5,194 followers. The story has also gained traction on the Fox News affiliate's Facebook page, attracting 21,000 views and over 50 shares.

Murray's spider cameo isn't the first incident of its kind to happen on live television, but she handled her situation with panache when compared to the TV reporter from KSWB Fox 5 in San Diego that jumped at a bug that flew into him. His incident led many commenters to mock his scream, referring to it as a "Hank Hill scream," a character from former FOX animated series "King of the Hill." By simply searching "TV reporter freaks out at bug" on YouTube, plenty of videos will emerge of the incident.

Representatives for KDFW and Shannon Murray did not immediately return International Business Times' request for comment.
