President Barack Obama will deliver his first State of the Union speech at 9 p.m. EST/ 6 p.m. PST Wednesday in Washington.

U.S. major media from CNN to C-SPAN will cover the event live. The White House will stream the speech at www.whitehouse.gov/live.

CNN will cooperate once again with Facebook to cover the State of the Union speech on its website.

C-SPAN will show the video on its site and accompany it with a transcript based on closed captions in near-real time.

YouTube users can watch the speech on its citizentube Channel and summit your questions for the President.

White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said the speech will focus on how to get the economy back onto a firmer footing, boost hiring, tackle the deficit and deliver financial regulation and healthcare reform.

I think all of that goes to the type of economic anxiety that people felt in this country last week, Gibbs said.
