Rumer Willis might have given Dakota Johnson a run for her money after she conjured Anastasia Steele during a “Fifty Shades of Grey”-inspired performance at the live semifinals of “Dancing With the Stars” Monday night. Professional partner Val Chmerkovskiy helped make the routine come to life as Christian Grey, the character played by Jamie Dornan in the film.

Willis, 26, and Chmerkovskiy, 29, danced the Viennese waltz to “Earned It,” which is off the “Fifty Shades of Grey” soundtrack, and got rave reviews. “You were the perfect Anastasia!” judge Julianne Hough said. “I was getting a little uncomfortable like I was back in the [movie] theater.” Bruno Tonioli added: “I didn’t know a Viennese waltz could be so steamy. It was sensual, but always very romantic.” The couple received 38 out of a possible 40 points from the four judges.

Rumer’s famous mother, Demi Moore, paid her a tribute. “It’s been incredible to watch,” the actress said about her daughter’s journey on “DWTS.” Rumer's equally famous father, Bruce Willis, added: “I’m very proud. I love seeing her like that.”

Dakota Johnson, 25, has made a name for herself as Ana, but before she landed the gig, there was endless speculation about who would be cast in the role of E.L. James’ sometimes-subordinate leading lady. From Alexis Bledel to Emma Watson, fans couldn’t stop talking about who might get the role. One of the names thrown in the hat was Willis. It was just a rumor, and Willis never said if she even wanted the role.

Even if she did, both Johnson and Dornan are set to reprise their roles in the next movie adaptation of James’ best-selling erotic trilogy, “Fifty Shades Darker.”

“DWTS” airs every Monday and Tuesday on ABC at 8 p.m. EDT.
