A video uploaded to YouTube Thursday showed a Uber driver calmly kicking a group of passengers out of his car after one repeatedly said the phrase “white privilege.” The white male passenger can be heard saying “white privilege” as he climbed into the car while the driver, who was black, sat in the front seat.

In the five-minute video, originally discovered by The Root, other passengers can be seen getting in the car as well, including one in the front seat and another girl in the back seat holding what appears to be a beer.

After some unintelligible conversation, the driver proceeded down the street before stopping the car.

“I need you to get out,” the driver said as the car pulled over.

“Me?” the front passenger responded.

“Yes,” the driver said. “Please, I need you all to get out.”

Some of the passengers became increasingly agitated, apparently unable to comprehend why the driver wanted them out of the car.

“You’re a f----- joke,” one passenger said.

“No, I’m not,” the driver said. “’White privilege.’ Leave.”

It’s then that the situation became extremely heated.

“Get the f--- out, bro,” said the passenger. ““You’re a f-cking — f-cking b-tch ass n---er.”

Both the passengers and the driver then got out of the car and walked out onto the street. An argument can be heard while they’re all outside.

“Be grateful that I’m a kind, cool collected dude,” the driver said as he got back inside the car.
