Wendy Williams announced on Wednesday that she would be taking a break from her hit talk show. The break comes amid reports her husband Kevin Hunter's alleged mistress recently gave birth to a baby girl.

The 54-year-old told her audience, "We have a planned break coming up next week. I know, but it's planned though. But we're back though with live shows on April 8."

According to Us Weekly, via MSN, the show will air repeat episodes the week of April 1.

Over the past couple of weeks, there has been quite some drama for the gossip queen, who revealed earlier this month that she has been living in a sober house to handle addiction issues.

“I go to several meetings all around town in the tri-state area and I see my brothers and sisters caught up in their addiction and looking for help," Williams said on her show.

"It's been really interesting, this ride. Only Kevin and Kevin [Jr.] have known about this. Not my parents, nobody. Nobody knew... After I finished my appointments...I am driven by my 24-hour sober coach back to a home that I live in here in the Tri-state with a bunch of smelly boys who have become my family."

Since her admission, however, Williams has reportedly checked herself out of the sober house. Page Six reports she left the New York City facility on Monday upon learning that Hunter's rumored mistress of over a decade birthed a child.

A source told the publication, “This is a crazy situation, Wendy is in a halfway house fighting for her sobriety, while her husband is at the side of his mistress who is giving birth to a baby."
