“Gilmore Girls” fans are eagerly waiting for news on the netflix reboot premiere date. Netflix

Mark your calendars, “Gilmore Girls” fans. The premiere date for “Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life,” the highly anticipated Netflix revival, may be announced at the Television Critics Association Press Tour on July 27.

Fans of the beloved WB (and later CW) dramedy have been waiting on a premiere date ever since the streaming giant announced the limited series in January. While the cast has been gracious in sharing behind-the-scenes photos and minor details about what’s to come, Netflix has remained tight-lipped on when longtime viewers can expect Lorelai (Lauren Graham) and Rory Gilmore (Alexis Bledel) to return to Stars Hollow. The only piece of information Netflix has released regarding the date is that it will “launch later this year.” However, a press event may finally reveal the answer.

TV Line reports that stars Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel are set to appear with creator Amy Sherman-Palladino at Netflix’s Television Critics Assoc. press tour panel. While these panels often feature show creators and stars, this July 27 appearance is special in that it will mark their first press event for the “Gilmore Girls’ revival. It would be the perfect time for the streaming service to make the big announcement — especially since filming recently wrapped. Actor Scott Patterson, who plays Luke Danes, the love interest of Lorelai, tweeted about the last day of filming in mid-May.

When “A Year in the Life” does premiere it will feature four 90-minute episodes. Each episode is named after a season — “Winter, Spring,” “Summer” and “Fall” — and is set in the present day.
