Tish Cyrus, the mother to singer Miley Cyrus, set the record straight about rumors of her daughter's upcoming nuptials to Australian actor Liam Hemsworth. She revealed her daughter plans to take her time before heading down the aisle during an appearance on Mario Lopez's radio show,"On With Mario," Wednesday.

"She is not eloping. She is not getting married. They are so freaking happy and living in Malibu," Tish Cyrus told Lopez. "She’s so happy, and she’s always like, ‘I don’t know why everybody wants us to get married. It’s so perfect.'"

Lopez added: "Everybody's always in a rush. When you're engaged, they want you to get married. When you're married, they want you to have kids right away."

Tish addressed her daughter's young age as a big reason she believes Cyrus should wait on uttering the words "I do" to Hemsworth, claiming, "She's 24. She's got time."

Lopez concluded the interview by asking the "Cyrus vs. Cyrus: Design and Conquer" star whether she'd want to have a big wedding for Cyrus and her other daughters, Brandi Cyrus and Noah Cyrus.

"Of course. I probably would, [but] she would never do that, I think," she said. "She’s a simple, simple girl. I don’t think so. I want all my kids to have big weddings."

The wedding between the "Malibu" singer and "The Hunger Games" star have been on the public's radar since Cyrus confirmed the couple was engaged again during an appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" in October 2016.

Cyrus also shared with DeGeneres her thoughts on young people in relationships.

"I don't really talk about it that much, but I think it's something that people should understand. I think young people in general, what we wear and what a relationship and commitment means is very different than what tabloids like to make it mean," Cyrus told DeGeneres. "I think young people have a different partnering and not feeling that this necessarily means that this is going to have a legal document signed and dated. It's really sharing a life with someone."

Cyrus and Hemsworth's relationship was a tabloid attraction in 2013 when they announced their split. E! Online claimed that the four-year relationship reportedly came to an end when Cyrus discovered Hemsworth "was less than faithful to her." However, rumors of their rekindled relationship began to swirl in late 2015 when Cyrus helped her former beau to adopt a dog. The rumors escalated further in January 2016 when Cyrus was spotted with Hemsworth in Australia in photographs on his friends' Instagram accounts.

The couple met in 2010 while filming "The Last Song," a film they co-starred in as each other's love interest.

Cyrus reportedly lives with Hemsworth in his Malibu, California home. Her latest Billboard-charting country-pop single "Malibu" is seemingly about her relationship with Hemsworth, referencing the couple's time away from each other prior to reconnecting. According to Billboard, Cyrus wrote the popular in an Uber on her way to a taping of "The Voice."
