Whitney Houston died Saturday evening of unknown causes at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, Calif. At the peak of her career, from the late 1980's through the late 1990's, Houston was one of the best-selling and most popular recording artists in the world.

Sports fans will always remember her stirring performance of the Star Spangled Banner before Super Bowl 25 in 1991. That game is best known as the wide-right game, in which Buffalo Bills kicker Scott Norwood missed a 47-yard field goal with eight seconds to play to give the New York Giants a 20-19 victory.
