Who Is Jeremy Meeks' Estranged Wife Melissa? ‘Prison Bae’ Files For Separation After Chloe Green Scandal

“Prison bae” turned model Jeremy Meeks filed for divorce from wife of 8 years Melissa after he was caught kissing Topshop heiress Chloe Green in Turkey last week. Days before he filed documents, Melissa gave an exclusive interview with the Daily Mail where she said the couple decided to divorce, but it was Meeks who filed for legal separation Monday, TMZ reported.

The Meeks share one son together: 7-year-old Jeremy Jr. Meeks wants joint physical and legal custody of their son, TMZ reported. He cited “irreconcilable differences.”

Meeks said that he has not yet “determined the full nature and extent of his separate property assets and/or liabilities,” according to the documents he filed.

What’s noteworthy about the separation date is that Meeks claimed their split June 24, which is four days before he was pictured kissing Green on a yacht in the Mediterranean. Melissa, however, maintained she thought her husband was on a work trip.

“I went into shock. I felt nauseated. It was like a bomb had gone off and my whole world had been blown apart,” she recalled to the Daily Mail Sunday. “I’d never heard of Chloe Green. I thought Jeremy was working.”

Melissa was “humiliated” by her husband’s actions. “I told him I didn’t think the marriage could be saved,” she said. “He agreed. The marriage is over.”

Melissa slammed Green, too. “I know it takes two to tango but she knew he was married. To me, that’s unforgivable. My whole world has been torn apart by this,” she said. “What do I tell our children? My heart is broken.”

“Of course I’m angry at her,” Melissa said about the billionaire heiress. “What she did is unforgivable. And I’m angry at him too. What they did destroyed my entire world. Did either of them think about the children and how this will affect them? They’re the innocent victims in this. And so am I.”

Even though their marriage is apparently over, Melissa’s bio on Instagram reads, “Wife to Jeremy Meeks.” She hasn’t posted to social media since the Fourth of July, around the same time pictures of her husband with another woman emerged.

Melissa, 38, hadn’t heard from Jeremy for days while he was in Turkey. He didn’t answer of any of her calls, saying his phone wasn’t working. But it worked well enough for him to post pictures of his luxurious vacation to Instagram.

She has two children from a previous relationship.

When he finally returned to their home in California, it was to see their son. “We had it out on the doorstep,” Melissa said. “I told him how devastated and angry I am. He kept apologizing – not for the affair, but for the way I learned about it. I feel humiliated, not just because my husband was caught with another woman but for the fact they were so brazen about it. He told me, ‘I didn’t mean it to happen like this.’ Those pictures will haunt me forever.”

Meeks has not issued a public statement about his split or the cheating scandal. The model garnered fame in 2014 when his mug shot went viral after police posted it to Facebook. He was donned with nicknames like "hot felon" and "prison bae."
