Dedicated fans are par for the course for celebrities, but one woman has taken the concept to another level. According to the Daily Mail, Vanessa Sky Ellis, a 26-year-old bartender living in New York City, has amassed around 10,000 photos of herself with celebrities.

Ellis -- who says hunting for celebrity photos is “the most important thing” in her life -- has snapped selfies with the likes of Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, Lady Gaga, Mariah Carey, Al Pacino and scores of other notable names.

Ellis spends hours every day looking for celebrities on the streets of New York. “I’ve waited outside hotels for celebrities to come out for 12 hours before -- but there’s no better feeling than when you meet them,” she said, according to the Daily Mail.

As the Daily Mail notes, Ellis -- who says she inherited the hobby from her mother, who passed away in 2007 -- also scans the TV listings and camps out in front of morning TV shows and stage doors on Broadway, hoping to nab a photo with any celebrity missing from her vast collection.

“Celebrities are everywhere - I’ve found them just walking down the street or even at the train station,” she said. “You have to keep your [eye] open because you never know where they’re going to be.

“I’m completely obsessed - but it’s something I really enjoy,” she said.

Given her encounters with famous people over the years, it’s safe to assume Ellis has her favorites. “Celebrities like Lady Gaga are really nice, they will stop for fans and let you take pictures with them,” she said. “Then you have celebrities like Bruce Willis who will never, ever stop for fans.

“Johnny Depp is the most handsome man ever - he might be 50, but he’s beautiful,” she added. “I’ve never considered cheating on my boyfriend with a celebrity, but if you had the chance with Johnny Depp what girl wouldn’t?”

Despite having “at least” 10,000 pictures already, Ellis is always on the hunt for more selfies with celebrities. She claims she can snap around 100 of them in a span of two or three weeks in New York.

“One time I waited outside a hotel for 12 hours for Vanilla Ice. I love Vanilla Ice,” Ellis said. “While I was waiting I got 10 celebrities, including Mike Tyson, so at least I was getting something.”

"A lot of people find what I do a little bit strange,” she admitted. “I don’t think they understand exactly. But some people live their lives in their own little jars and don’t understand anything outside of it.”

Ellis also said she's not slowing down anytime soon. “I try to fit my work around hunting for celebrities,” she said. “Sometimes you just have to go with just two hours sleep, but you know what, you’re still doing what you love.”
