A Pennsylvania teenager has been charged with the murder of his neighbor. The 14-year-old boy stabbed a couple and their 17-year-old daughter, killing the husband.

Zachary Hockenberry faces aggravated assault and criminal homicide among other charges after he fatally wounding one of the residents on Sunday afternoon.

Police were called to the residence where 45-year-old David Sinoracki was brutally stabbed and later succumbed to his injuries, Wilkes-Barre publication Citizens' Voice reported on Tuesday. The man’s wife and daughter did sustain stab wounds but were in stable condition.

Bobbi Jo Sinoracki told police that she was cleaning when she felt as if she had been punched in the back, according to reports. The woman then turned around to find Hockenberry holding a knife and realized she had been stabbed. The teen went on to attack two other people in the house.

The woman said that the boy turned and stabbed her husband in the chest and their daughter, Megan, who heard her mother’s screams attempted to help but was stabbed in the left side of her chest. She then fled to her neighbor’s house and the two other children in the home locked themselves in an upstairs bedroom until help arrived.

When police arrived on the scene, Bobbi Jo Sinoracki told them that she had been stabbed and that the boy had been restrained to a living room chair. Although she was hospitalized due to her multiple stab wounds, her daughter was released following treatment at the hospital.

Longtime friend of the family, Erin Cook started a GoFundMe page following David Sinoracki’s death. Cook hopes to raise $40,000 to help pay for funeral expenses and bills seeing as the father was the main source of income for his family.

Hockenberry’s lawyer told the media that he will try to have the preliminary trial postponed.
