Sharna Burgess is opening up about the moment she told boyfriend Brian Austin Green that she's pregnant with their first child together.

The "Dancing with the Stars" pro, 36, confessed she initially felt nervous about telling Green, 48, the good news, recalling that the actor was watching the Los Angeles Lakers lose a game when she took a pregnancy test in their bathroom and got a positive result.

"I was like, 'What am I gonna do?' I can't tell him now. This is terrible news while the Lakers are losing," Burgess told Us Weekly Thursday ahead of "The Modern Day Wife's What She Said" panel at the W Hollywood in Los Angeles. "So I waited for 40 minutes. And he came in like, 'Big day. The Lakers came back and they won.' And I was like, 'It's about to get bigger. You're probably gonna need to sit down for this.'"

Burgess admitted that she was "scared at the time" because her pregnancy was not planned and they were "relatively new as a couple." However, according to the dancer, Green smiled when he learned the news, hugged her and said, "That's awesome."

Burgess couldn't help but gush about her boyfriend's "really cool" reaction to the unexpected development.

"Even though we feel like we've spent lifetimes with each other, it's still a quicker timeline than we were thinking. We were probably a year ahead of what we were talking about, but he was so excited knowing how much I've wanted this," she added.

Green is already a father of four. He shares Kassius, 20, with ex-fiancée Vanessa Marcil and sons Noah, 9, Bodhi, 8, and Journey, 5, with ex-wife Megan Fox.

Burgess said she was also "nervous" when it came to telling Green's children that they have a sibling on the way.

"Those beautiful kids have been through so much change, and I'm always very sensitive with them," the ABC personality said. "Though they love me deeply, who knows how they're going to feel about another kid?"

The couple shared the baby news with the help of an ultrasound photo. According to Burgess, the kids were "super excited" about their upcoming sibling and now say "good morning to Peanut," the nickname they have given the upcoming addition to their family.

Last month, Burgess and Green announced that they are welcoming a baby boy due on the Fourth of July.

"We want to thank everyone for the amazingly kind well wishes. We are really excited to be welcoming a baby boy on or around the 4th of July," Green wrote on Instagram. "@sharnaburgess, I cannot wait to see you hold your/our baby."
