Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle have a number of things in common and many are wondering what their relationship will be as future sisters-in-law.

Following the "Suits" star's engagement to Prince Harry, Markle's relationship with Middleton was examined and it turns out that both are friendly towards each other. In fact, their first meeting went "really well." At the time, both women said nothing but praises towards each other.

According to Hilda Burke, psychotherapist and relationship expert, there is no "normal" style in sister-in-law relationship. But in general, sisters-in-law help the relationship between siblings improve.

"I've seen plenty of cases where the sisters-in-law act as catalysts to improve a relationship between siblings," Burke said (via The Telegraph). "In most of the couples I work with, it's still the woman who oversees their social life. The sisters in law become the instigator for increased communication between the siblings."

She added that rivalry and resentment can creep in when children are involved. At the time, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are expecting their third royal baby. Meanwhile, Prince Harry and Markle may have their own brood in the future. Despite this, most in-laws don't find a growing family as a means of competition.

Middleton and Prince Harry have a great relationship as in-laws. In fact, he values her opinion when it comes to his girlfriend. Thus, Middleton will also likely have the same quality of connection to Markle.

Previous reports claim that the Duchess of Cambridge will be the "Dater's Handbook" actress' mentor when she joins the royal family. Middleton will help Markle adjust to the royal life that waits for her following her royal wedding to Prince Harry. Sophie, Countess of Wessex, helped Middleton seven years ago and the latter would be returning the favor to the "Suits" actress.

Although Middleton and Markle have not been seen together publicly, the Duchess of Cambridge is very supportive of her relationship with Prince Harry. "William and I are absolutely thrilled," Middleton said about the couple's engagement. "It's such exciting news. It's a really happy time for any couple and we wish them all the best and hope they enjoy this happy moment."
