On the season finale of "Scandal" Thursday night, fans watched as Columbus Short’s character, Harrison Wright, was held at gunpoint by Tom Larsen, a Secret Service agent who is also a B-613 operative. Fans are wondering if Short’s character will be killed off the ABC hit series due to his off-screen drama.

A month ago, the 31-year-old actor was involved in a bar fight in Los Angeles and allegedly punched another man. He was charged with a felony count of battery with serious bodily injury. "[The fight] happened in the parking lot, but none of the employees saw what happened," the owner of Gabe's Bar and Grill tells People.

Then this week, his wife of eight years, Tuere Tanee Short, filed for divorce from Short. She also alleges he tried to kill her and himself last week. In court documents, Tuere said her husband was drunk and “acted as if he was about to hit me with the bottle.”

She tried to flee, but he got in her way and dumped wine on her before being verbally abusive and choking her on a couch, she says. He grabbed a knife from the kitchen, and she alleges, “he placed the knife close to my neck and threatened to kill me and then kill himself.” Tuere is seeking full custody of their 2-year-old daughter Ayala.

Short released a statement on Thursday. “As you all know, lately my personal life has been subjected to a lot of press. As much as I would like to provide my side of events, my counsel has instructed me that a court of law is the only and proper venue to deal with such matters.

"Accordingly, I must refrain from making any comments even though that is very difficult for me under the circumstances. Thank you to my fans for your continued support during this difficult time.”

On Twitter, fans are already asking for Short to be killed off of “Scandal” due to his violent temper in real life. “so is columbus short getting fired from scandal because yes please [sic],” tweeted @laughbending. “#Scandal needs to fire Columbus Short. He’s too violent in real life. #HandleIt,” wrote @BryceRat1.
