Did 11-year-old Willow Smith get her tongue pierced? In case your feathers were about to get ruffled, you can calm down. Willow Smith has not pierced her tongue, MSN reported. There's no need to fret.

The tender tike sent Instagram and Twitter into a frenzy when she posted a picture of herself with a metal stud in her mouth, but the girl famous for whipping her hair was just experimenting with a new fashion statement.

The scandalous picture prompted some to wave a finger via the interweb at her famous parents, actor/rapper father Will Smith and actress Jada Pinkett, whose permission she would have needed had she actually gotten the piercing.

It isn't a piercing, a source dished to Gossip Cop. It is a magnet. Just a young girl having fun with accessories.

Though magnetic tongue rings might seem harmless enough, they could potentially rip apart organs if ingested.

It wouldn't be surprising if Will and Jada had allowed their pre-teen daughter to get her tongue pierced. Willow has been known to make outrageous fashion statements such as dyeing her hair vibrant colors, like green, and then buzzing it all off.

We let Willow cut her hair, her father told Parade earlier this month. When you have a little girl, it's, like, how can you teach her that you're in control of her body? If I teach her that I'm in charge of whether or not she can touch her hair, she's going to replace me with some other man when she goes out in the world.

Continued Will, She has got to have command of her body. So when she goes out into the world, she's going out with a command that is hers. She is used to making those decisions herself. We try to keep giving them those decisions until they can hold the full weight of their lives.
