Martin is currently busy finishing the book. He previously confirmed that he is busy writing at his desk amid the coronavirus quarantine. The author has assured the fans that he is safe and that he is taking all necessary precautions.

When will “Winds of Winter” be released? Martin previous told his fans on his blog that he intends to finish the book by August this year. The publishers should take a few months after getting the manuscript to launch it.
