On May 19, “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” will be released on the PS4, Xbox One and PC. However, there are a few pre-release events to take note of -- such as a livestreaming event set for 7 to 10 p.m. Thursday EDT. Announced over the game's official Twitter page, the live stream will be broadcasted over Twitch. It will feature some new gameplay as well as a question-and-answer segment with the developer. The official pre-release event will be shown via the link here.

“The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” is a popular title for which gamemaker CD Projekt RED has already more than one million preorders from all over the globe. Players seem to like its vast open-world experience and gritty narrative that does not isolate newcomers to the franchise. Also, as the Verge reports, it allows the gamer to wander off from the main story and explore other features by hunting monsters or investigating murders.

Playing “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” also gives players a taste of different stories and contexts nested within. While there is an overarching theme of "The Hunt" that has been discussed in previous iterations, new players will still understand the story and have an easy time going through the narrative.

Some players may actually already preload the game. DSO Gaming reports that this is possible for PC players who have purchased the GoG version. Some have started to explore the XML options, which are meant to show the settings that players can tweak in the game.

Findings show that there is an Uber option that contains an array of graphics settings. The Uber setting appears to be the highest, as it follows the Low, Medium and High settings. On the technical side, the Uber setting will feature up to 2048x2048 texture sizes and the ability to increase grass density, water tessellation and shadow distance.

For those in the U.S. who are looking to win something from retailer GameStop, the newest contest for "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" may be a great way to earn a GameStop gift card.
